Lawrence D. Windmiller, age 53, suffered a fatal heart attack Christmas Eve and died at his home in Roachdale.

A native of Illinois, he was married to the former Marie Carmichael at Ladoga in 1939, who survives.

He was a veteran of World War II, wherre he served as a paratrooper in the U. S. Army, a member of the Eagles Lodge, Optimist Club and the Roachdale Christian Church. He was employed at a Roachdale service station.

Final rites were December 27 from the Perkins Funeral Home in Roachdale. The Rev. Herbert Wilson officiated with burial in the Roachdale Cemetery.

Surviving with the widow are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Windmiller, Rochester; three children, Mrs. Bill White, Danville; Mrs. Dennis Gentry, Roachdale; and Larry Windmiller, Indianapolis; three brothers and sisters and five grandchildren.
